TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE! -- BECOME A JOAT!
What is a JOAT? The phrase dates to the late 16th century when it was first used to describe individuals with a broad range of skills. The term used then was Johannes Factotum, meaning, "a master of everything." This was notably applied to William Shakespeare as an insult to his diverse talents at a time when specialization was often valued more than versatility. However, this interpretation has been challenged in modern times, where being a “Jack or Jill of All Trades” is increasingly advantageous. Today, adaptability and a wide-ranging skill set can be more beneficial than narrow specialization. Hence, being a JOAT can offer advantages not found in other endeavors.
